Our Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Resource Centre Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day supervision requirements of our Secondary School library on a part-time basis (3–4 days per week) until the end of 2025.
This role plays a vital part in creating a welcoming, engaging, and well-resourced space that supports student learning, fosters a love of reading, and assists staff with curriculum needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise students in the Resource Centre, ensuring positive behaviour and engagement.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and inviting environment for study, reading, and collaboration.
- Support students with research skills, use of online databases, and locating resources.
- Coordinate circulation and cataloguing of library resources, including purchasing and processing materials.
- Assist with photocopying, scanning, printing, and general library administration.
- Promote reading, information literacy, and resource engagement across the school community.
- Uphold our Child Safety standards and policies at all times
- Uphold the values and vision of Kingswood College, contributing positively to our community.
Successful applicants will:
- Hold a valid Employment Working With Children Check (or VIT registration).
- Demonstrate strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Show enthusiasm for supporting young people's learning and wellbeing.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and able to work collaboratively with staff and students.
- Bring administrative or library technician experience (school library experience desirable but not essential).
