A local government organisation close to the northern suburbs of Melbourne, has a permanent job for a Supervisor working in the Landfill & Resource Recovery Centre.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Operations Lead, you'll be responsible for:

- Operational functions of the Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre (RRC) and ensure the centre is professionally and efficiently managed
- Lawful disposal of all waste and recyclables received at the Landfill and RRC, with a strong focus on diverting materials from landfill
- Overseeing the maintenance of accurate records of all material movements associated with waste being transported to and from the Landfill and RRC
- Investigating and resolve problems raised by team members or members of the public in relation to the Landfill and RRC
- Coordinating services and relationships with contractors/customers to minimise the stockpiling of waste at the site to ensure no operational issues and maximise transport efficiency

**What you'll need to succeed**

As well as qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, you'll have:

- Extensive experience in the Landfill, Waste, Resource Recovery, and/or Recycling industry
- Extensive knowledge of the legal constraints, licences and Acts pertaining to a Landfill and Transfer Station operations within Victoria
- Proven experience in frontline customer management including conflict resolution
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to develop positive relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment
