**About the Role**:
We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a Resource Coordinator to join our Network Control and Operations team based at our Mount Waverley head office.

Reporting into the Manager Faults & Emergency, the Resource Coordinator is responsible for the efficient planning and allocation of tasks to the field resources allocated to the United Energy (UE) Electricity Network under the operational management of the Network Control Centre (NCC) in a 24 x 7 environment. In addition, this role will also include assisting in the review and development of operational systems and processes.

**What you will deliver in this role**:

- Prioritise, package and schedule fault, monitoring, servicing, public lighting, and maintenance type tasks.
- Assist the NCC team to co-ordinate the electricity network key activities to ensure optimum safety and efficiency
- Provide safe and effective direction of field personnel
- Actively communicate and monitor field crews and contractor activities to ensure timely advice on work progress and completion of activity in field
- Participate in a 24 x 7 NCC Shift Work and Availability Roster to ensure adequate resources for all contingencies
- Manage escalation or emergency management processes where incidents occur on networks that could negatively impact on company image
- Update metering and service records, system maintenance records and fault resolution on screen based and paper-based information systems
- Providing accurate fault detection and consequent advice to customers or other stakeholders as required
- Ensure a continuous improvement attitude and commitment to quality performance;
- Undertake administrative duties when required
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of operating procedures, practices and processes.

**This role requires a unique set of skills and experience, including**:

- Basic knowledge of GIS and UESAP
- Knowledge of emergency management processes or situations including importance of escalation
- Understanding of Electrical theory
- Knowledge in the operation of an electrical distribution network and its elements
- Understanding of the requirements of working in a 24 x 7 shift work environment
- Experience working in the electrical industry would be an advantage but not mandatory
- Demonstrated continuous improvement attitude and commitment to quality performance
- Ability to understand various types of faults for timely identification and to take appropriate action
- Analytical and problem-solving skills related to network operational matters
