About the opportunity
Our Group Risk team is a second line function, which supports Australia Post Group to find the right balance between realising opportunities and reducing the impact of risks across the business.
Reporting to the 'Head of Risk Business Partnering', you will be responsible for planning and delivering risk management activities, including overseeing and reporting on the risk profile of allocated business units, teams, or functions within the Group. It enables informed management decisions by ensuring risks are documented and managed in line with the Group's risk management framework, while promoting a consistent approach across the organisation. Key responsibilities include understanding the compliance and regulatory landscape, supporting risk management practices in both business-as-usual and project environments, and maintaining accurate risk reporting and records in accordance with established standards.
You'll also
- Partner with senior leadership to set risk metrics and drive ongoing risk management within the Group's risk appetite. Train area representatives in risk assessments, ensure compliance with legislation and policies, and work flexibly across different business units as directed by Group Risk Leadership
- Maintain strong relationships across Technology, Cyber, Data and AI, collaborating to identify and assess risks, and report on risk management effectiveness
- Provide fact-based, strategic and commercially relevant risk advice and assessments
- Work closely with Group Risk, Security and Compliance to apply policies, frameworks and tools that support strategic objectives
- Facilitate and support effective governance through relevant area forums
About you
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a Risk Business Partnering role
- Tertiary or post-graduate qualification in a business, management, risk or other relevant discipline
- Experienced in development and management of risk frameworks, risk appetite and key risk indicators
- Prior experience within complex changing environments with multiple stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes
- Demonstrated expertise in the practical application of widely used risk management frameworks, complemented by experience in horizon scanning
