The Role/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to meet construction compliance, scheduled project outcomes and deadlines whilst motivating the trades to get the job done on time and with high quality.
  • Monitor, report progress and regular communication with project managers.
  • Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be hands on with a variety of installation works including carpentry, cabinetry, framing and finishing works.
  • Be able to forward plan, allocate daily duties, identify and problem solve any trade specific site issues and provide solutions for on-site teams.
  • Coordinating and managing sub-contractors and on-site trades.
  • Monitor all OH&S and quality assurance to ensure high standards are always met.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Follow all company procedures and system.

To Be Successful You Must Have:

  • Relevant trade qualification in carpentry/shopfitting with experience on the tools with supporting evidence.
  • Proven track record and experienced in hospitality and retail fitouts – 3 years minimum.
  • Outstanding Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience and demonstrate on-site leadership skills to manage shop fitout projects from end to end.
  • Exceptional at reading and understanding plans, construction, OH&S and regulatory practices.
  • Experience in undertaking on site set outs, joinery installation, framing and sheeting.
  • Understanding in joinery manufacture with the ability to do material take offs and provide measures as required.
  • Strong people skills and be experienced in managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders and delivering client satisfaction.
  • Have your own power tools.
  • Full driver's license and your own transport.
