About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Leading Hand or Junior Supervisor
to join our growing civil construction team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in civil works who is ready to step up into a leadership position or further develop their supervisory skills.

You will assist in managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. The role involves overseeing crews, coordinating subcontractors, and reporting progress to site and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising and coordinating site works and construction teams
  • Lead and motivate crew members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site-specific requirements
  • Monitor and report on work progress, materials, and resources
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Assist in site set-out and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency on-site

Project Scope Includes:

  • Major bulk earthworks
  • Civil stormwater drainage installation
  • Light-duty pavements and car parks
  • Heavy-duty pavements and hardstands
  • Roadworks and associated infrastructure
  • Retaining wall construction
  • Utility identification, protection, and management

About You:

  • Proven experience in a civil construction environment
  • Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience highly regarded
  • Sound knowledge of earthworks, drainage, and pavement construction
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Solid understanding of WHS standards and site safety practices
  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork

Requirements:

  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Current Driver's Licence (MR/HR desirable)
  • Relevant civil tickets (e.g., excavator, roller, etc.) - highly regarded
  • First Aid & CPR (preferred but not essential)
  • Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
