Barwon Coast cares for 22km of coastline on the southern Bellarine Peninsula and to fund that work, operates 3 caravan parks and a seasonal campground in Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads and Breamlea.

Are you a people focused leader with a passion for hospitality? We're looking for an Accommodation Services Coordinator to lead our caravan park front office and housekeeping teams and deliver exceptional guest experiences every day. This role will suit someone with previous experience in a hotel front office supervisory or management role who has a deep understanding of reception and rooms division operations. We're seeking a skilled individual to lead and develop our Accommodation Services teams whilst providing clear, forward-thinking leadership.

About the Role:

The Accommodation Services Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the accommodation customer service and housekeeping functions and management of the respective teams. The position covers all aspects of the accommodation services function including, but not limited to:

  • Manage the day-to-day front of house operations to deliver an exceptional client experience and to be Barwon Coast's customer service ambassador.
  • Ensure the Customer Service processes, and operating methods are aligned, efficient and effective.
  • Oversee the delivery of the housekeeping function.
  • Ensure that the client management system is used effectively and consistently and to be the Administrator of that system.
  • Collaborate with the Accommodation Services Manager and the Digital Marketing Officer to advance ideas for revenue generation and occupancy growth.
  • Analyse financials including rostering, forecasting, budgeting and reporting within the scope of responsibility.
  • Develop and implement operational improvements, department efficiencies, revenue generation ideas, cost minimisation and team development.
  • Lead and develop the Accommodation Services teams, including general management, rostering and development of staff, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure policies and operating procedures relating to the customer service and housekeeping functions are relevant, up to date and adopted across all parks.
  • Ensure a strong focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience at Barwon Coast caravan parks.

About You:

  • Experience in caravan park management, hospitality or a related position with a focus on operations, revenue, strategy, customer service and housekeeping.
  • Minimum 5 years of hospitality management or supervisory experience is desired.
  • Experience in effectively leading, managing and coaching staff, including the capacity to manage volunteers and contractors.
  • Significant experience in the RMS booking and client management system or a related program is favourable.

This full-time position requires an average of 38 hours per week. The successful candidate may occasionally need to contribute operationally as business needs arise and will work some weekends and public holidays.
