About the role

We are currently seeking Disability Support Workers who live in and around the Narromine area to support a 50 year-old Female participant with a Brain Injury to remain living independently within her home.

Duties include but not limited too

  • Medication administration
  • Use of mobility equipment
  • Domestic assistance
  • Special meal preparation and Community participation
  • Assistance with managing finances
  • Personal Care Tasks
  • Trachea Care, Catheter Care and care of the airway tubes

You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

Shift times - There are a variety of shifts available in the 24-hour program, please indicate your availability within the application form.

Requirements:

  • ​Applicants must have good English-speaking skills, be clear and easily understood
  • Care experience
  • Current references
  • Mobile phone
  • Current driver's licence and your own car (mandatory)
  • NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
  • First Aid certificate or willing to obtain (mandatory)
  • Paid WWCC (Working with Children's​ check) or willing to obtain
  • Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
