The Opportunity
The Strep A Translation team aims to understand the epidemiology of Strep A infections in Australia and the world. We explore the implementation of endgame recommendations, health economics and new horizons.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to contribute to a range of research initiatives within the Strep A Vaccine Consortium (SAVAC). Working closely with the Program Manager and project leads, this role will support and coordinate research projects to ensure the successful delivery of SAVAC outcomes. The Project Officer will play a key role in coordinating program activities, assisting with research and preparing reports, and facilitating stakeholder engagement to enhance program efficiency and impact.

In This Role, Your Duties Will Include

  • Assisting with the planning and organisation of research activities and events.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation including agendas, minutes, and presentations.
  • Monitoring project progress and contributing to the preparation of reports.
  • Supporting the execution of research activities, including conducting literature reviews and assisting with the design of research protocols.

Located in our offices within Perth Children's Hospital in Nedlands, this role will be offered for an initial 2-year period, on a 0.5 FTE - 0.6 FTE basis.

About You
The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in health and/or research relevant field(s), and will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in research studies and data collection activities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including evidence of contribution towards academic writing.
  • Experience with project administrative tasks.
  • The proven ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse team, as well as the ability to show initiative.
