Our core business facilitates the hiring, selling, servicing, and transporting of elevated work platforms including scissors, boom lifts, telehandlers and forklifts to the Construction, Material Handling and Mining sectors.

Opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

Located in our global head office in Canning Vale and reporting to the General Manager - Finance, this is a full-time office based on-site position working Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. No working from home arrangements are available.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts.
  • Prepares monthly statements by collecting data, analyzing, and investigating variances, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Completion of monthly journals and reconciliations.
  • Month end reconciliations including bank reconciliations.
  • Intercompany balances reconciliations.
  • Preparation of monthly Board reporting and other internal/external compliance reporting as required, ensuring consistency, accuracy and timeliness of reporting to achieve regulatory and business outcome.
  • Assisting in process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives.
  • Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
  • Ensure all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements are delivered.
  • Critically assessing accounting practices and identifying areas for improvement
  • Providing adhoc analysis to drive business decisions and support the executive teams.
  • Documenting policies and procedures from time to time.
  • Implement audit recommendations and improvements in internal controls.
  • Assisting in preparation of the annual financial statements of the group.
  • Additional tasks or duties as directed by Financial Controller or CFO.

The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement - in addition to this, they will have:

  • Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications.
  • Training for CA/CPA qualifications/new member of CA/CPA
  • Proficiency with Excel at an Intermediate/Advanced level.
  • Good working knowledge of financial statements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication, self-management and organisational skills; and
  • The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work with conflicting time constraints.
  • Good tax knowledge to ensure all tax compliance is completed and lodged in house
  • Experience with NetSuite would be advantageous.
  • The ability to perform in a fast paced, high performing environment.
