About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

Main responsibilities
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including labour efficiency reports.
  • Assist with stock control, cycle counts, and stocktakes.
  • Raise purchase orders for major repairs and capital expenditure and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Assist with month-end close and management/financial report preparation.
  • Investigate discrepancies and liaise with the Financial Accountant on variances.
  • Contribute to budget and forecast preparation.
  • Perform administrative and accounting tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate-level qualification in Accounting/Finance.
  • Strong accounting, finance, and analytical skills with critical thinking ability.
  • Exposure to ERP systems.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
