As a Senior React Native Engineer at Bilue, you craft fast, reliable mobile apps that feel effortless to use. You work in a high performing, cross functional, agile team of engineers, designers, delivery managers and clients. You set the standard for quality, you care deeply about the details, and you turn real user needs into simple, scalable products that make a difference. You mentor others, support delivery, and lift the bar on our engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable React Native code for iOS and Android
• Build pixel perfect user interfaces and integrate with native APIs and backend services
• Contribute across the agile lifecycle, planning, estimation, backlog refinement and iterative delivery
• Uphold engineering standards with automated testing, CI and code reviews
• Ship small and frequent releases, monitor with analytics and telemetry, use data and feedback to guide decisions
• Identify and resolve performance issues, remove bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Ensure quality, security, accessibility and reliability are baked in
• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, product managers and clients, communicate progress, risks and trade offs
• Write clear documentation, share knowledge and improve how we work through retros and coaching
• Support release management for the App Store and Google Play, including versioning and submission readiness

• 6+ years of commercial experience building large scale mobile applications with React Native
• Strong written and verbal communication, confident with external stakeholders
• Able to translate business requirements into clear, practical technical solutions
• Deep experience with offline first patterns, background tasks, threading and performance tuning
• Comfortable with push notifications and cloud messaging services
• Skilled at mobile performance optimisation, for example TTI, FPS, memory, bundle size and startup time
• Proficient with developer tools and debugging, for example Flipper, Xcode Instruments and Android Profiler
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
• Solid version control and tooling, Git plus Jira and Confluence
• CI and release expertise, for example Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Fastlane, TestFlight and Google Play Console
• React Native fundamentals, React Hooks, navigation patterns, state management such as Redux or Zustand, JSX, and common styling approaches in React Native such as StyleSheet or styled components
• Experience working in agile teams
• Senior behaviours, mentoring peers, thoughtful code reviews, raising the bar on quality and reliability
• Native iOS or Android development experience development would be a huge bonus
