About Lumachain
Lumachain is a high profile, well-funded scale-up, headquartered in Sydney Australia, and with teams around the world. We work with many of the world's leading protein and food processors, as well as with leading Quick Service Restaurant brands and retailers.
Our mission is to change how our food is produced, for good. We do this by monitoring and helping improve safety (both for food and the employees who produce it), quality, yields and efficiency with production facilities, as well as providing end-to-end traceability from farm to fork.
Role Overview
The Project Coordinator will report to the Head of Delivery, APAC and support the implementation and support of Lumachain's hardware and software-based Artificial Intelligence solutions at meat processing sites. This role is customer-facing and requires a confident communicator who is comfortable interacting directly with customers, providing both technical support and on-site implementation assistance.
We are a fast-moving start-up, so a self-motivated, "go-getter" attitude is essential. Candidates must be excited by the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in AI and Computer Vision, while also being adaptable to working in primary meat processing plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of Lumachain's AI and computer vision solutions at customer sites, including both hardware and software deployment.
- Work directly with customer IT teams, site management, and external contractors to ensure smooth delivery.
- Provide technical support across multiple solutions, including troubleshooting and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct site surveys, capturing footage and stills to assist project planning.
- Support the design and creation of camera and infrastructure maps.
- Collaborate with the Head of Delivery, APAC, to develop detailed implementation plans and gain stakeholder alignment.
- Ensure physical infrastructure installations and software deployments are completed successfully, followed by training and testing.
- Achieve customer sign-off once systems are installed and validated.
- Gradually take on responsibility for leading site implementations independently, based on performance.
Must-Have Skills & Attributes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – confident in direct customer interactions.
- Technical aptitude, with the ability to learn and support multiple solutions (hardware and software).
- Problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and implementation.
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Willingness to work in primary meat processing plants.
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites as required.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in IT, engineering, or software/hardware support roles.
- Exposure to AI, computer vision, or related technologies.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and system deployments.
- Previous experience in food or manufacturing environments.
