As we continue to grow and expand our influence in Australia, we're on the lookout for our Senior Beauty Buyer at our Pyrmont Head Office.

Job Description:

We're on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Beauty Buyer to join W Cosmetics. With a sharp eye for emerging global trends and brands, you'll use your strong local and international connections to source, onboard and manage an exciting portfolio of beauty brands. This role calls for someone highly trend-focused, commercially minded, and skilled in negotiation and relationship management, with the ability to bring the latest and most in-demand products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and source new and trending beauty products Globally

  • Build and maintain relationships with international and local suppliers including creating and managing a joint business planning e.g. NPD & promotions.

  • Forecast NPD, sales, margin, profit, shipping by working closely with planning on replenishment forecasting and orders

  • Manage Planograms and negotiate space and placement in new & existing stores

  • Negotiate yearly contracts for pricing, terms and delivery schedules to achieve margin and sales targets

  • Manage product lifecycle, range reviews and rationalisation of assortment

  • Analyse sales data and market trends to optimize product assortments

  • Work closely with marketing, e-commerce, and retail teams to plan product launches and promotions

  • Negotiate and manage VMD requests and funding from brands, work with our buyers and VM team to ensure it's executed in all stores on time

  • Attend trade shows, supplier meetings and industry events to stay ahead of trends

  • Ensure all products comply with local regulations and quality standards

  • Maintain accurate purchase records, forecasts, and reports

  • Mentor and support assistant buyers to ensure all data collection is on time

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in a buying or merchandising role, preferably in beauty or cosmetics

  • Deep knowledge, interest & understanding of global beauty trends

  • Strong knowledge of international beauty markets

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and buying/planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
