Hanes Australasia is seeking a proactive accountant to lead the Revenue Accounting team. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and completeness of all revenue-related activities within the P&L and balance sheet for the Hanes Australasia group.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
Oversee timely completion of month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure accurate P&L and balance sheet analysis to support financial reporting.
Forecasting & Budgeting
Support the development and monitoring of revenue forecasts and budgets.
Provide insights to inform strategic financial planning.
Audit Liaison
Coordinate with external and internal auditors to facilitate audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Revenue Accounting Oversight
Manage sub-ledger revenue accounting, including accounts receivable, credit management, and claims management.
Collaborate with in-business commercial teams to align financial strategies.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.
Present financial information clearly to business leaders for performance evaluation.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop the revenue accounting team, fostering skill enhancement.
- Implement system and process improvements to drive efficiency and quality.
What experience/skills do I have?
- Experience in an accounting role, within a large corporate environment or newly qualified from big 4
- A degree in accounting or finance
- CA or CPA qualified
- Advanced Stakeholder Management
- Experience in a role with at least one direct report
- Excel, advanced level
- Experience working with a large accounting system, preferably JD Edwards
- Ability to problem solve and analyse complex data
- Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset
