Hanes Australasia is seeking a proactive accountant to lead the Revenue Accounting team. This pivotal role ensures the accuracy and completeness of all revenue-related activities within the P&L and balance sheet for the Hanes Australasia group.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

• Oversee timely completion of month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Ensure accurate P&L and balance sheet analysis to support financial reporting.

• Forecasting & Budgeting

• Support the development and monitoring of revenue forecasts and budgets.

• Provide insights to inform strategic financial planning.

• Audit Liaison

• Coordinate with external and internal auditors to facilitate audits.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Revenue Accounting Oversight

• Manage sub-ledger revenue accounting, including accounts receivable, credit management, and claims management.

• Collaborate with in-business commercial teams to align financial strategies.

• Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.

• Present financial information clearly to business leaders for performance evaluation.

• Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop the revenue accounting team, fostering skill enhancement.

• Implement system and process improvements to drive efficiency and quality.

What experience/skills do I have?

• Experience in an accounting role, within a large corporate environment or newly qualified from big 4
• A degree in accounting or finance
• CA or CPA qualified
• Advanced Stakeholder Management
• Experience in a role with at least one direct report
• Excel, advanced level
• Experience working with a large accounting system, preferably JD Edwards
• Ability to problem solve and analyse complex data
• Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset
