The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist – Senior (Endometriosis and Persistent Pain) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

  • Utilise high level knowledge, experience, and clinical skill to provide specialist clinical services

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary part time (up to 6 months with possibility of extension, 30.4 hrs p.f.)
  • Base salary ranging from $ $69.55 per annum/per fortnight/per hour

About Us

This senior psychology position works within a multidisciplinary team involving gynaecologists, a pain specialist, a psychiatrist, clinical nurse consultants, and an Allied Health team including a social worker, physiotherapist and dietitian. The Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Interdisciplinary Clinic service provides a gynaecological and persistent pain service to women who have been diagnosed with Endometriosis or another gynaecological source of pelvic pain. The team offers a multidisciplinary approach to developing a health care plan for these women to improve their management of their persistent pain condition.
