The Team Leader provides operational leadership and supervision to a large Environmental Services team within fast-paced acute care hospitals and community health services.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for several Team Leaders (Environmental Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide supportive supervision to team members, using strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Respond to emergency codes as stipulated in the workplace action plan
  • Coordinate with the Central Staffing Unit to maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Ensure all workplace incidents are accurately reported and documented

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
  • While not mandatory, supervisory experience would be well regarded
  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded

Salary

  • Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hrs negotiable)
  • Base salary ranging from $ $80 423 per annum, $ $40.56 per hour
