Hi, we are Intopia

We are a digital consultancy with a difference. We're change makers. We believe everyone has a right to inclusive digital experiences. This is our purpose, our quest, the white rabbit we follow.

We do what we love, with people we like, to help make the world more inclusive. We place the user, regardless of their ability, at the centre of everything we do. We work to break down the barriers and make technology universally accessible.

About the role

We are on a quest to find a Brand and Marketing Lead that can join our growing team. This is a role that will help drive success with our Marketing team, including growing our presence, supporting customer acquisition and increasing brand awareness and visibility. This role will initially be for 3-4 days per week for approximately 12 months, with expectations of extending the role. We will consider alternate arrangements for the right candidate, including full-time employment.

This role is remote and is open to anyone based in Australia. If you think you're the perfect for the role, we will also accept applicants from New Zealand (but there may be some travel involved). What you would be doing in the role will vary but some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and deliver Intopia's marketing activities to raise awareness of our mission, services and impact
  • Develop and execute bold, creative marketing campaigns, including viral or left-of-centre activations, that spark engagement and amplify Intopia's brand and mission
  • Act as brand guardian ensuring visual and verbal consistency across all content, campaigns and materials with documentation to support
  • Collaborate with the Events and Marketing Coordinator and Operations team to plan, promote and deliver digital marketing for Intopia's consulting services, events and webinars
  • Create and manage engaging social media content that grows our visibility and sparks connection
  • Manage updates to the Intopia website CMS, including new case studies, blog articles and resource uploads
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships that extend Intopia's reach and collaboration opportunities
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Ensure all marketing activities and content meet accessibility standards and reflect Intopia's inclusive values
  • Contribute to building a strong, collaborative, and supportive culture within Intopia

About you

You balance strategy with creativity, combining solid marketing fundamentals with a touch of guerilla energy and playful edge. You're not afraid to experiment or think differently, bringing bold ideas to life that make people stop, think and connect with what Intopia stands for. You're a strategic and creative marketing leader who thrives in purpose-driven environments. You're confident managing multiple priorities, from content calendars to event campaigns, while keeping the bigger picture in focus. You know how to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messages and you're passionate about accessibility and inclusion in marketing. Key skills and experiences that you'll have which are important for the role are:

  • 9+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management, ideally in tech, design or social impact
  • A strategic mindset with a track record of creating campaigns that get noticed and drive real growth, backed by analytics and reporting tools
  • Fearless, out-of-the-box storytelling and communication skills that are clear, authentic, inclusive and impossible to ignore
  • Strong digital marketing and content creation skills across multiple channels – social, email, web, video, you name it – with Figma experience a big plus
  • Proven experience managing website CMS updates, publishing articles, case studies and resources – bonus points if you're comfortable in Wordpress
  • Experience running partnerships, sponsorships, events or community engagement initiatives with impact
  • Experience leading and mentoring team members or managing direct reports
  • Familiarity with accessibility principles for digital content and marketing materials – or a hunger to learn

At Intopia we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we still encourage you to apply.
