The Company.

Approach has partnered with a leading national project management consultancy with an enviable reputation for delivering some of Australia's most significant health and aged care infrastructure. With a major pipeline of large-scale projects across New South Wales, they are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of projects valued from $100 million to $500 million. This role represents an opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership position, spearheading their NSW health or aged care portfolio.

The Role.

As the Project Director, you will take charge of the successful delivery of high-profile, complex projects across the health and aged care sectors. You'll be responsible for leading project teams, developing and executing project strategies, and ensuring all milestones are achieved on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. You'll act as the senior point of contact for key stakeholders, building and maintaining strong client relationships while providing trusted leadership to ensure that project goals and compliance standards are consistently met.

This is a significant opportunity to not only oversee major projects but to shape the consultancy's strategic presence in the NSW market. You'll provide guidance and mentorship to project teams and play a critical role in driving growth and reinforcing the consultancy's reputation as a trusted leader in health and aged care project delivery.

What You Need.

To succeed in this role, you will bring extensive experience delivering large-scale health and aged care or similarly complex institutional projects, ideally in the $100M–$500M range locally in New South Wales.

You'll have a strong background in project management or client-side consultancy, with proven success in leading multidisciplinary teams on projects of this scale. Exceptional leadership, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to navigate the complexities of regulatory requirements and clinical design environments. A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, construction, engineering, or a related field is expected.
