The Company.

Approach has partnered with a national project management consultancy recognised for delivering complex, design-led projects across the commercial, residential, and mixed-use sectors. With a growing footprint in the Build-to-Rent (BTR) and living sector, the business is now seeking a Project Director to lead major projects and drive the continued expansion of its Sydney team.

The Role.

As Project Director, you will oversee the delivery of high-value Build-to-Rent and social housing developments, from early feasibility and planning through to completion. You'll act as the senior client interface, providing strategic direction and commercial oversight across multiple projects while ensuring excellence in delivery. A key focus of this role will be leveraging your established Sydney network to build new client relationships and strengthen the firm's presence in the BTR and large-scale residential market. You'll also take on a leadership role internally—mentoring project managers and helping to grow the local team.

What You Need.

You'll bring extensive experience in the property or construction industry, with a strong background in project management and the delivery of major residential or Build-to-Rent developments. Proven local networks within the Sydney market are essential, as is the ability to develop new business and manage relationships at senior levels.

You should have a deep understanding of project feasibility, design coordination, procurement, and delivery, coupled with strong commercial acumen and leadership capability. A tertiary qualification in project management, construction, engineering, or property is required.
