ClOVE N HONEY is seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our team in our bustling kitchen located in Stones Corner, QLD. CLOVE N HONEY is been post code winner in 2023 and top 5 in south brisbane in 2024. As a full-time Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, delicious meals that delight our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality environment.

Key Responsibility

  • Preparing a variety of dishes from our diverse menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Ensuring all food is prepared, cooked and presented to the highest standards.
  • Participate in promotional activities and events that highlight the restaurant unique menu.
  • Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborating with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes.
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock control.
  • Training junior staff to the right skills for preparing meals and cleaning procedures.
  • Undertaking Sous Chef level responsibilities including supervision and coordination of kitchen operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to source fresh and sustainable ingredients.
  • Monitor all Kitchen budget, expenditures and work to minimise waste while maximising profitability.
  • Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate repairs as necessary.
  • Providing customer menu offerings to cater dietary restrictions and responding promptly to customer requests and feedback.

What we're looking for (Qualifications)

  • Proven experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional cooking or chef experience required.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
  • Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for preparing fresh, high-quality meals.
  • Ability to work efficiently and under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and management skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.
  • Work sponsorship is available for suitable candidates without existing Australian work rights.
