THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join the renowned Gold Coast restaurant, Edgewater Dining.
Working closely with the Hospitality Operations Manager and Area Head Chef, the Sous Chef will assist with the day-to-day running of the kitchen operations ensuring the highest quality and consistency of food, along with:
- Providing hands on motivational leadership and structure in the kitchen.
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Manage food and labour costs to achieve budgetary goals while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Working closely with and supporting the management team to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- A love of food and a drive for excellence
- A great attitude and attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills & work ethic
- A positive and proactive attitude and team focus
- Creative flair and willingness to learn and teach
- Ability to lead a team and manage service in the absence of the Head Chef
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Prior experience in similar role
