The opportunity

Mirrimpilyi Muurpa-Nara Aboriginal Corporation is seeking full time Early Intervention Case Workers to join their team in Broken Hill, Menindee or Mildura, NSW. As a Case Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable children, young people and families in the local community.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide early intervention and case management support to children, young people and families to improve outcomes and prevent escalation of issues
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to address the specific needs of each client
  • Collaborate with other community services and agencies to deliver coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate client records and prepare reports as required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery through feedback and participation in team meetings
  • Represent the organisation professionally and positively in the local community.

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, counselling or a related field / experience
  • Demonstrated experience in case management, preferably within a community services or child/family welfare setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to strengths-based and trauma-informed practice
  • Understanding of the unique cultural needs and challenges facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the local region.
