Are you an experienced Inventory Analyst looking to join a dynamic and growing organisation? This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your analytical expertise and supply chain knowledge to optimise inventory performance and support business excellence.

Your new role

Reporting to senior management, you will play a key role in ensuring inventory efficiency and availability across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with senior managers to determine optimal order quantities using ERP systems, spreadsheets, and Power BI to minimise inventory and maximise efficiency.
  • Placing orders with local and overseas suppliers, coordinating import certifications as required.
  • Identifying and eliminating slow-moving and obsolete stock across multiple warehouses.
  • Working with IT teams and suppliers to ensure accurate data collection for procurement decision-making and reporting.
  • Driving continuous improvement of ERP systems, spreadsheets, and Power BI reporting to meet evolving business needs.
  • Enhancing EDI efficiencies with suppliers.
  • Developing a strong understanding of sales, operations, and supplier constraints to improve decision-making.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3-5 years' experience as an analyst in inventory management or supply chain within an Australian wholesaling business.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Mathematics, Science, or Logistics (Bachelor level preferred).
  • Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and experience in Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • ERP system experience and strong data-driven decision-making capability.
  • Exposure to building materials industry is highly desirable.
