Permanent | 4 days per week | Specialist Medical Practice

Hourly rate: $34-37 per hour (depending on experience) with a six-monthly review.

Are you an experienced medical receptionist who enjoys providing exceptional patient care in a professional, team-focused environment? Coastal Gastroenterology is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Secretary (0.8 FTE) to join our busy specialist practice based in Murdoch.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play an essential role in ensuring our clinics and procedures run smoothly. You'll work closely with our doctors, nurses, and administrative team to deliver high-quality service and maintain efficient, accurate daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Greet patients and manage patient check-ins, receive incoming calls, and emails in a professional manner.

· Schedule consultations and procedures using Gentu.

· Liaise with hospitals, anaesthetists, and referring practices.

· Process payments, Medicare/DVA, and private health-fund claims.

· Manage incoming correspondence via HealthLink and Lyrebird.

· Support the teams daily workflow and administration tasks.

About You

· Experienced in medical reception or administration (specialist or hospital background highly regarded/preferred).

· Confident using Gentu (preferred) or similar medical software.

· Accurate and organized work ethic and calm under pressure.

· A clear and professional communicator.

· A supportive team member who takes initiative and maintains high standards at all times.
