Your role at St John of God Murdoch Hospital
As Medical Secretary, Sessional Suite, you will be an integral part of the team administering the affairs of the Medical Clinic with the main focus of the role being to provide the highest standard of professional service to consultants using the sessional suites.
The Position- Provide a complete secretarial and reception service for visiting Medical Practitioners to the Sessional Suites.- Maintain a booking preference sheet for each doctor.- Ensure consulting and examination rooms are set up, in accordance with preference sheet, ready for the commencement of next session.- Manage each doctor’s diary according to individual preference.- Arrange theatre bookings, admission to hospital, further appointments etc, as requested.- Receive and dispatch mail for sessional consultants daily.- Deliver a timely, accurate and accessible account service to the level contracted.- Generate accounts for those doctors requiring this service.- Ensure integrity of the patient medical records.- Maintain accurate records of session overruns, supplies and services used by each doctor.- Contribute to the development of departmental polices and procedures.- Liaise with Manager, Senior Medical Secretary internal and external customers as required to ensure provision of customer service.- Maintain a high standard of communication and customer service at all times, using appropriate tone and style.
To success you will have previous experience in a similar role and a working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
With highly effective communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a broad range of customers, you will have demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and maintain customer service at all times.

We can offer you- Salary: $72,103 to $75,373 pro rata, plus 11.5% superannuation- A fixed-term part-time position, working 32 hours per week- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
