About the role

This part-time Medical Receptionist role at Parkview Family Practice in Murdoch, WA is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and caring medical practice. As the first point of contact, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of the practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and on the phone
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring efficient workflow
  • Process patient registration, updates, and medical claims
  • Provide general administrative support to the clinical team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative practice environment

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role within the healthcare industry
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical reception experience is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact sensitively with patients
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities to manage a busy schedule
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Best Practice medical practice management software is required
  • A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
  • Australian work rights are required for this position

This is a rewarding role supporting patients and a small practice team of 4 part time doctors and a Practice Nurse. We offer flexible work arrangements between 8 am to 4 pm, during weekdays only. No weekend, after hours or public holiday shifts required.
