About AVA Advisory

AVA Advisory supports Australian small to medium businesses facing financial distress. We specialise in small business restructuring, voluntary administration, liquidation, and corporate advisory, with access to third-party finance partners.

We are in a growth phase and require a strong sales leader to take control of our sales operations, lead the team, and restore consistent performance.

The Role

The Sales Director is responsible for leading the sales team, driving performance, and ensuring conversion targets are met across the board. This is not a "hands-off" role — you will be in the trenches: setting KPIs, monitoring HubSpot, managing activity levels, and stepping in to close high-value clients yourself.

We need someone who can commence immediately and bring structure, accountability, and hunger back into the sales function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to hit daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Set and enforce activity standards across calls, appointments, proposals, and agreements.
  • Step in to personally close high-value clients when needed.
  • Take ownership of HubSpot — ensure data is clean, accurate, and driving accountability.
  • Build a culture of discipline, hunger, and results within the team.
  • Report to the CEO on team performance and pipeline.
  • Work with advisory and operations to ensure proposals and agreements are followed through without delay.
About You
  • Proven leadership experience in a sales management or sales director role.
  • Track record of turning underperforming teams into consistent performers.
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and how to drive accountability.
  • Confident closer, able to win client trust and finalise high-value agreements.
  • Hands-on leader who thrives on being in the action, not just strategy.
  • Strong grasp of HubSpot (or similar CRM) and sales reporting.
  • Experience in financial services, insolvency, restructuring, or professional services is highly regarded.
