The Role

As a Sales Cadet, you'll be mentored by experienced professionals and immersed in a supportive environment where learning by doing is the norm. You will be on the road, working independently and with a diverse range of customers. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent tertiary leaver with strong communication skills and a passion for connecting with businesses to deliver smart, sustainable solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Gain hands-on experience, work closely with our Business Development Manager and build the foundations for a successful career in sales.
• Learn to canvas and identify new business opportunities across Western Sydney commercial and industrial sectors
• Research and learn about different metals and their values
• Conduct outbound calls to generate leads and introduce 4G services to achieve business growth in the industrial sector
• Participate in door-to-door campaigns to build relationships with local businesses
• Support the team with CRM data entry, sales pipeline management, and client record maintenance
• Attend client meetings and industry events to learn best practices in sales and relationship management
• Assist with the preparation of quotes and proposals – learn how to follow up and close the deal
• Gather competitor and market intelligence to support strategic planning
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand how tailored customer solutions are developed
• Learn how to communicate the value of our services with clarity and professionalism

About You

While industry experience is advantageous, it's not essential. We're looking for self-starters who are enthusiastic, goal-driven, and not afraid to knock on doors or make cold calls to create new opportunities.

• Reliable, punctual and well presented
• A positive attitude and strong organisation and time management skills
• Waste Industry / Scrap Metal experience (desirable)
• Have a drivers licence and reliable transport
• Able to pass a medical and regular random Drug & Alcohol testing
