Junior Drafter

Job Title: Junior Drafter / Programmer – Stonemasonry

About Us:

We are a specialist stonemasonry company delivering high-quality stonework, benchtops, and custom architectural stone solutions. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and precision, we are looking for a skilled Drafter/Programmer to join our team and help bring our designs to life.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, programming CNC machines, waterjet and supporting our stonemasons with technical documentation. This is a hands-on role that combines design skills with practical problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and edit shop drawings from architectural and client specifications.
• Use a slab scanner to program vein matching files for clients and production.
• Prepare accurate CAD drawings and shop drawings for stone projects (benchtops, vanities, cladding, etc.).
• Prepare DDX/DXF files for CNC stone cutting and polishing machines.
• Review and interpret plans, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with stonemasons, installers, and project managers.
• Maintain organised digital files and drawing registers.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, DDX Easystone, or similar).
• Experience with CNC programming for stone, joinery, or metal fabrication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.
• Ability to interpret architectural/engineering drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Stonemasonry, joinery, or construction background is highly regarded.
