Mesh & Baris a growing independent reinforcing steel business with offices in all eastern states of Australia.

We have now extended our operations into South Australia. (Salisbury South).

We manufacture and distribute steel reinforcement and associated building products to the construction industry.

We currently have a full time position available for an Administration Assistant/Receptionist/Customer Service Operator to join our exciting new team at our facility based in Salisbury South.

This an excellent position for someone who is keen to learn various aspects of a business and is looking for a role to progress in.

Experience is not essential for this role but your enthusiasm, communication and organisational skills will be rated highly.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The position is primarily for an administration role which will include various tasks such as:

  • answer general incoming calls
  • driver run sheet reconciliation
  • entering customer order requests and confirming their order details into an ERP system
  • recording details of the customer and the customers order and confirm a delivery date
  • paperwork filing
  • other administration tasks

This role requires the individual to be hands on and work well in a team as the tasks necessitate the person to work closely with all aspects of the business, including sales, production and despatch departments

Skills and experience

You need to have great communication skills, have customer relationship building skills and be able to work in a team environment.

This is an entry level job for an individual who is enthusiastic to work as part of a team and develop skills for future improvement.

  • Are comfortable with dealing with customers over the telephone.
  • Have strong computer skills
  • Have outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • Have strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Work well autonomously as well as in a team
