St Michael Primary School is currently seeking a Diversity Teacher & Wellbeing Leader on a full-time permanent basis commencing Term

St Michael's Primary is one of the largest systemic primary schools in the Diocese of Parramatta and has a reputation for quality education and academic excellence. We have come a long way from our humble beginnings, with our students now learning in modern, richly-resourced agile spaces with the latest technology integrated across the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

The Wellbeing Leader is accountable for:

  • Promote meaningful and age-appropriate learning for all students
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to develop and implement strategies and adjustments for students, and support the creation and moderation of Personalised Plans (PPs)
  • Collaborate with the school counsellor, external agencies, families, and carers to support student wellbeing and engagement.
  • Co-design and implement school-based behaviour support plans for Tier 2 students and risk management plans for Tier 3 students plans for Tier 2 students and risk management behaviour plans for Tier 3 students.
  • Assist and co-teach with classroom teachers in planning and delivering programs that embed a diversity and inclusion perspective.
  • Assist teachers in identifying and prioritising learning goals for vulnerable and at-risk students.
  • Model inclusive teaching practices in order to build the capacity of classroom teachers

Qualifications, Accreditations, Experience:

  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation (Working with Children Check clearance).
  • Eligible according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
  • Tertiary qualification (minimum 4-year degree)
  • Appropriate demonstrated experience
