Clinical Nurse (Clinical Research) – Advance Care, Drive Innovation

Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse (Clinical Research), you will play a pivotal role in supporting endocrinology-based clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies within the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology. This position combines advanced clinical care, research coordination, and leadership responsibilities to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for patients and research participants.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Coordinating and conducting endocrinology and diabetes-related clinical trials, including participant recruitment, study visits, and data management.
  • Providing practical support for Principal Investigators and research teams, including ethics and governance submissions, compliance with protocols, and preparation for monitoring visits.
  • Acting as a key liaison between investigators, participants, and external sponsors/CROs to ensure trials are delivered to the highest standards.

About you:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled nurse who is passionate about both patient care and advancing clinical research. You will bring strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to succeed in this role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse, with demonstrated advanced clinical skills in endocrinology and diabetes care.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient advocacy, culturally safe care (including for transgender and gender-diverse participants), and maintaining excellence in clinical and research standards.
