About This Opportunity 

Join the Australian Centre of Excellence in Melanoma Imaging & Diagnosis (ACEMID) at the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a Melanographer. In this role, you will support world-leading skin cancer research by engaging with study participants, conducting advanced skin imaging, coordinating research clinics, and ensuring high-quality data collection and management.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct participant study visits, including full skin examinations, total body and dermoscopic photography, and collection of biological samples.
  • Coordinate research clinic operations, ensuring accurate data management, adherence to protocols, and quality assurance in imaging and reporting.
  • Collaborate with dermatologists and research staff, reviewing lesions, supporting follow-up processes, and contributing to training and research activities.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Nursing
  • Demonstrated research experience in a clinical setting; prior experience in skin cancer research highly regarded.
  • Qualification in melanography; desirable but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to plan ahead, prioritise tasks, and work flexibly both independently and within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to prepare clear, concise documentation and engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders in a research environment.

You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
