**Description**:
As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, Manager, Research is expected to personally contribute to the shaping and achievement of ATSICHS vision and goals within their own scope. The Manager, Research will provide three (3) Key Functions
Role Functions
Provide expertise and leadership of the research function at ATSICHS including:
Day to day management of the research team
development of best practices and methodology;
establishing governance frameworks and committees
strategic guidance and input into direction and applicability of project initiatives;
project management of key research projects (as requested);
general project/research management support and advice (as requested)
Research publications
The position will work with the scope provided by the SMT to provide consistent oversight and governance to all ATSICHS Research Projects.
Organisational Contributions
Congruent with the ATSICHS Strategic Plan, the Manager, Research will contribute to the organisation by designing research methodology for the organisation. The role will specifically work on assisting and/or leading the development of Frameworks to support the execution of the Strategic Plan.
Contribute to the Development of a Flourishing Team
Provide effective leadership, guidance and support to staff to ensure a flourishing workplace culture that promotes the ethos and values of ATSICHS Brisbane as a long standing Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
**Skills and Experiences**:
**Essential**:
Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Behavioural Science, Nursing, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Public Health, Youth Work, Community Services or relevant field.
5+ years experience in a research or equivalent role.
Experience in data collection, data entry, interviewing, survey administration in either a university or research focussed role at an organisation.
Knowledge of research design and data collection methods.
Highly developed time management and organisational skills.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in areas such as report writing, and in the ability to translate theoretical, technical and statistical concepts into accessible reports.
Project management skills.
Current drivers Licence.
Willingness to travel across the Brisbane region.
Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
**Desirable**:
Research based Post Graduate qualifications.
