Description
The Payroll Systems & Processing Team Lead is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations while also owning and optimising the systems and processes that support payroll and time & attendance. Reporting to the Payroll Manager ANZ, you'll lead a skilled team and ensure compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement across all payroll activities.
- Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
- Oversee payroll operations across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring alignment with complex Enterprise Agreements.
- Own and optimise payroll and time & attendance systems, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
- Maintain and improve payroll and T&A Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support timesheet management and approvals, resolving issues and ensuring readiness for pay-runs.
- Manage system access, security roles, and conduct regular audits.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver seamless payroll services.
- Drive continuous improvement across payroll processes and systems.
- Provide first-level support for system issues and user requests.
- Communicate system changes and payroll updates to stakeholders.
Profile
- Proven experience in payroll processing and team leadership.
- Strong systems thinking and process improvement capabilities (including experience with T&A systems)
- Demonstrated experience working with and interpreting complex Enterprise Agreements.
- A passion for governance, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Advanced Excel skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
