Responsibilities

The Senior HR Specialist is a subject-matter expert who manages complex HR programmes and projects within a specialty area (Employee Relations, HR Compliance, Total Rewards, or HRIS) while supporting broader HR initiatives. In the remote care management services environment, the Senior HR Specialist ensures compliance, develops efficient HR processes, and provides advanced support to managers and employees.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for complex HR matters such as compliance, employee relations, or benefits.
  • The role includes full-cycle recruiting responsibilities, encompassing drafting job descriptions, posting positions on appropriate job boards, screening resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, performing reference checks, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide guidance on employee relations cases.
  • Develop and implement HR processes, policies, and SOPs to support company growth.
  • Lead HR compliance audits and ensure adherence to multi-state and federal employment laws.
  • Coordinate performance management and professional development programs.
  • Partner with payroll and finance to ensure accurate employee data, benefits administration, and reporting.
  • Provide training and coaching to managers on HR practices and compliance requirements.
  • Support company-wide HR projects including engagement surveys, workforce analytics, and diversity initiatives.
  • Work and co-ordinate closely with the company's HR and administrative services provider Business Leap.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5 or more years of HR experience with demonstrated expertise in a specialty area (ER, Compliance, HRIS, or Total Rewards).
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law.
  • Experience conducting investigations and advising managers on complex HR matters.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or specialty certifications preferred.
