Based in Altona North 3025, our client is searching for a General Manager to lead daily operations, support staff, and work side-by-side with our service and sales teams. If you like collaboration, building real connections, and enjoy keeping a business on track, this could be the next step for you.

What You'll Do

  • Champion recruitment, staff coaching, and performance management for both operational and support teams.
  • Partner with Hire & Sales Managers to create a highly engaged, happy workforce.
  • Inspire a culture of satisfaction, optimism, and teamwork - your energy sets the tone
  • Identify and deliver process improvements, driving efficiency and growth.
  • Structure and lead operational frameworks that make our business run smoothly.
  • Share safety leadership and uphold compliance through proactive, positive influence.
  • Schedule the workflow for new sales, service and repairs, and asset management - keeping everything (and everyone) on track.
  • Day-to-day staff management with a hands-on, motivating approach.
  • Oversee facilities and workshop maintenance as a shared responsibility.
  • Deliver unforgettable customer and supplier experiences - bring a sales-minded attitude and build lasting relationships.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven supervisory and management experience (essential).
  • Must hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Diploma, degree, or trade qualification in a relevant field (preferred).
  • Management qualification (preferred).
  • Forklift Licence (nice extra).
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, scheduling, and logistics skills.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and business software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
