AIRWAY are seeking a sharp, organised Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic team at our Brisbane Airport warehouse facility. 

This is a rare opportunity for someone seeking to further develop their career in warehousing and take on a leadership role. 

Our ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' experience working with perishable cargo and have a thorough understanding of airfreight operations. We are seeking a hands-on individual who can lead by example and ensure staff are appropriately trained and supported to effectively execute their roles.

The Role 

Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Be the go-to person for customers and suppliers queries
  • Ensure lodgements are planned and completed on time and are made in time to meet airline cut offs as required
  • Unload / load / unpack / pack cargo as required
  • Ensure all cargo is customs and quarantine cleared prior to despatch
  • Ensure safety rules are followed and report any safety issues
  • Plan and manage the daily tasks for Freight Coordinators
  • Support and guide the team to make sure work is done to the right standard
  • Work closely with other supervisors, staff, and managers to improve efficiency

About You Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Current ASIC Card (or must apply for one)
  • Forklift license and experience operating a forklift
  • Physically fit for manual lifting requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Reliable
  • Flexible & collaborative work ethic
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Personal and approachable
  • Safety Focused

Desired:

  • Fumigation License
  • Authority to drive Airside (ADA)
  • Dangerous Goods experience or other industry accreditation
  • Advanced knowledge of OH&S regulations
