The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic. As our Maintenance Officer, you will be utilising your rich experience to improve our site facilities and help take our operation to the next level.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and perform all maintenance on site ensuring to meet quality standards, customers and business requirements.
  • Facilitate the use of preferred suppliers to obtain quotes and perform works not able to be completed in house.
  • Identify issues and areas for improvement and co-ordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor to execute completion of required tasks.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and facilitate maintenance to assist in timely c completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with the broader S&D team to meet common goals across safety, quality, accuracy and efficiency.
  • Display high levels of motivation while working within team and accept ownership for the safety, quality, accuracy and efficiency
  • Working in a highly collaborative and supportive manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Efficiency, People, Productivity and Cost.
  • Along with Warehouse Supervisor, manage forklift fleet including logging service calls and performing maintenance requirements.
  • Performing LOTO duties and updating register as required.
  • Maintain S&D's truck.
  • Maintain all refrigeration requirements.
  • Submit purchase request forms to Accounts Payable for the purchase of all equipment required to for fill maintenance roles
  • Upkeep and maintenance for all servicing, maintenance and contracts for assets on site
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of work safe regulations, policies and practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management, attention to detail and adaptable mindset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work hands on to repair and maintain plant and equipment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects – to problem-solve, prioritise and plan under tight deadlines.
  • Technical expertise necessary.
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP and GMP.
  • A hands-on work approach with a can-do attitude and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Current forklift license (ideally high reach) highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in cold storage operations highly desirable but not essential.
