Claiming and Reconciliation Officer
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for process improvement and a desire to grow your career in the aged care sector?
What's on offer
We're looking for a Claiming and Reconciliation Officer to join our Finance team, supporting our Support at Home claiming processes.
- Hybrid role: Bella Vista office (1-2 days), with the rest of the week from home (occasional additional office days may be required)
- Permanent full-time position
- Career development: Learn from experienced team members and grow your knowledge of the aged care industry
- Not-for-profit benefits: Salary packaging options available
What we're looking for
We are seeking someone with tertiary qualifications and ideally some experience working with Aged Care or Home Care Packages. You will need advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and modify macros, and knowledge of Visual Basic would be an advantage. A good working knowledge of systems such as Salesforce is important. You will also need strong organisational and analytical skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. We are looking for someone who can work independently and proactively, identify issues and potential solutions, and build strong internal relationships within a multidisciplinary team.
The role
In this role, you will be responsible for validating monthly claims and verifying remittances, which involves complex Excel reconciliations. You will analyse monthly claims and post any necessary adjustments. You will also liaise with government departments to resolve discrepancies and assist elderly customers or their next of kin in understanding statements and invoices. General administrative functions for Accounts Receivables will also form part of your responsibilities. Most importantly, you will contribute to improving our processes, reducing risk, and optimising outcomes — all while being supported by a seasoned and collaborative team.
Why choose Silverchain
Everyone at Silverchain, from our care teams to leadership, plays a vital role in delivering Best Care. It's a team effort. Best Care is care that is safe, personal, connected and effective.
We are proudly one of the few Australian home care providers accredited in both national health and aged care standards. This means the quality of care we provide is expected to meet the same standards as a hospital or residential aged care facility.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we re-invest our funds into research and developing innovative models of care to set the industry benchmark for the provision of the best care in the home.
We will also provide you with opportunities to help you develop and grow in your career, with training and education programs to help you achieve your goals.
