THE ROLE

An opportunity has arisen for an end-to-end Accounts Receivable Officerto join the established finance team at our Carrum Downsmanufacturing site on a part time basis. The key focus of this high-volume processing role is to ensure debts are collected on time with minimal risks of default.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities include:

  • Accurately process and reconcile credit claims, expense reports, and incoming payments
  • Proactively manage debt collection and follow up with customers on outstanding accounts
  • Perform regular General Ledger account reconciliations
  • Raise and process credit notes efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers
  • Handle account queries promptly and professionally to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential credit and payment risks

ABOUT YOU

This pivotal role is best suited to an experienced Accounts Receivable professional looking to expand their existing knowledge in a fast-paced, agile FMCG business.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role (ideally 3+ years)
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Versatile; to be able to cover short-term assistance to other Finance functions.
  • ERP Experience desirable (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Fantastic phone manner to ensure every interaction with customers, suppliers and staff alike are excellent

This role is ideal for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who feels comfortable working with accounts processes and practises. Previous experience in an FMCG environment will be highly regarded.  Naturally you will also have an understanding of basic accounting principles. A keen desire to learn and the ability to remain flexible in order to juggle multiple priorities will be your recipe for success
