Your Opportunity

Mission Beach State School is seeking a dedicated and proactive Administration Officer to join our vibrant coastal school community. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school's administrative systems, providing high-quality support to staff, students, and families. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Principal, Leadership Team, and teaching staff, including reception duties, correspondence, and records management.
  • Manage financial tasks such as processing payments, reconciling invoices, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate communication across the school community to ensure timely and accurate information sharing.
  • Assist with HR and compliance processes, including onboarding, timesheets, and reporting requirements.
  • Support the organisation of school events, excursions, and other administrative logistics to ensure smooth operations.

About You

The following skills and experience would be beneficial:

  • Experience in office administration or school administration (preferred within an educational or government setting).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Competency in digital systems and software, including Microsoft Office and departmental platforms (e.g., OneSchool, SAP).
  • Attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
