Associate Adviser - Financial Planning

Our client is a well-established, multidisciplinary accounting firm seeking to expand its growing Financial Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to build a long-term career in financial advice within a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the Role

As an Associate Adviser, you will:

  • Engage with clients to understand their financial goals and create tailored solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients as their first point of contact.
  • Support the Financial Adviser with advice preparation, documentation, and review processes.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in client meetings.
  • Assist with ongoing service obligations, including the preparation of OSAs and FDS documents.
  • Identify opportunities to provide clients with additional services aligned with their goals.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks to ensure seamless client service delivery.

About You

You are passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals and committed to building a long-term career in financial planning. You'll bring:

  • At least 2 years' experience in the financial advice industry, ideally as an Associate Adviser, Paraplanner, or Client Services Officer.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning principles, investment management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Xplan CRM systems (advantageous).
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
  • Eligibility to commence or currently progressing toward becoming a qualified Financial Adviser.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Financial Planning, Commerce, or a related discipline.
