V & C Foods is the leading independent food distributor on the South Coast. We proudly supply hotels, pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafés, takeaways, and retail outlets including grocery and convenience stores, from Sydney in the north, Eden in the south, and across to the Southern Highlands and Canberra. With a reputation built on quality, service, and reliability, we are now seeking an experienced and motivated sales professional to join our team, focused on the Far South Coast territory (Narooma through to Eden).

The Role

We are looking for a Sales Representative to drive business development and account management across both foodservice and retail customers. This is not an order-taking role — it's about building new relationships, growing existing ones, and increasing our share of spend within your territory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing a portfolio of clients across foodservice and retail (hospitality, grocery, convenience, and more)
  • Prospecting and winning new business in the Far South Coast region
  • Retaining and growing existing accounts
  • Building strong customer relationships at all levels
  • Resolving customer issues with a solutions-focused approach
  • Working autonomously to achieve sales targets
About You

You are either:

  • A foodservice or retail sales professional with proven experience in wholesale, FMCG, or related industries, or
  • A senior, highly experienced chef who has been responsible for procurement and supplier relationships, and is ready to step to "the other side of the fence."

In either case, you thrive in a customer-facing role and bring energy, initiative, and resilience.

  • Sales or procurement experience in foodservice, retail or FMCG
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • A problem-solving mindset and commercial acumen
