The City of Tea Tree Gully is a progressive north-east Adelaide council renown for innovation and service excellence. The Council support community, stimulate the economy and create a vibrant and accessible city. Large-scale renewal and development is driving strong economic and employment growth in the region. The City of Tea Tree Gully now have a vacancy and are seeking to engage with a credible and capable Manager Customer and Communications to join the Communication and Customer Relation Teams.

The Manager Customer and Communications will be responsible for leading the development and continuous improvement of the various customer channels, including the systems that monitor and track them. The span of communications activity is focused both on internal and external to ultimately build the profile of Tea Tree Gully as a great place to live work and play through strategic media and community engagement activities including events. The Manager Customer and Communications will be responsible for leading the delivery of Tea Tree Gully’s well known and successful major event program. The position will directly support elected members, executive leadership and other managers and provide high level media and communications advice on particular issues relating to council. The Manager Customer and Communications will be measured on and accountable for the internal communication strategy being successfully developed and executed.

You will have demonstrated your capability to work and perform in cross functioning teams using contemporary communications and marketing approaches to innovate. Working in a similar environment, and understanding how to navigate the political landscape and manage a range of key stakeholders will be crucial as well and your strong track record of public speaking and presenting. You will possess significant experience in the planning and development of a wide range of marketing collateral and how to execute campaigns with clear messaging and effective customer experience practices.
