**The Role**
Maritime Systems Division (MSD) is seeking a professional, motivated and experienced Certification Manager to provide support to the Commonwealth Government’s continuous naval shipbuilding projects. The AORCASPO is the delivery agency responsible for the effective management of the sustainment Product Schedules CN47, CN50 and CN58 in partnership with the relevant Capability Manager Representative (CMR).
The role will plan, develop, integrate, manage and evaluate Defence capability to ensure certification of AOR Supply Class and Commercial Auxiliary vessels. You will investigate and expose risks, analyse and report on technical issues, requirements, and develop and implement recommendations and advice. You are accountable, under broad direction to perform and achieve complex technical work within an integrated workforce, and have knowledge of legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defences mission and policy requirements.
**About our Team**
The Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment and Commercial Auxiliary Systems Program Office (AORCASPO) is part of the Major Surface Ships Branch (MSS) within Maritime Systems Division (MSD). We are a diverse workforce, which includes Australian Defence Force personnel, Australian Public Servants and Defence Industry Partners.
AORCASPO sustains a range of maritime capability, from the new replenishment oilers (AORs) to auxiliary commercial vessels. The AOR vessels carry fuel, dry cargo, water, food, ammunition, equipment and spare parts in operational support for the deployed naval or combat forces operating far from port on the high seas. In addition to replenishment, the ships can be used to combat against environmental pollution at sea, provide logistics support for the armed forces, and to support humanitarian operations and relief operations following natural disasters. The auxiliary commercial vessels include maritime aviation and navigation training vessels, a border force protection cutter, as well as submarine search and rescue capabilities.
