**The Role**
The Performance & Risk Officer will be responsible for the performance management and risk management functions across the Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment Systems Program Office (AOR SPO) and Maritime Auxiliary SPO (MA SPO). The position will be embedded within the Quality Management team to deliver effective and consistent outcomes for SPOs.

Key tasks will include:

- Develop, implement and review Enterprise Performance Management Framework (EPMF) and Enterprise Risk management Framework (ERMF). Undertake relevant assurance activities in support of the AOR and Maritime Auxiliary major contracts, in line with capability life cycles ensuring, enduring alignment to business and strategic requirements.
- Work with our Industry Partners and Navy stakeholder to manage the SPO's Performance and Risk management frameworks including ensuring the currency, accuracy and effectiveness of relevant management plans, processes, methods, systems, registers etc.
- Administer and contribute to an effective Performance and Risk management culture through staff training and workshops. Communicate the generated Performance and Risk knowledge via established and new communication channels including management systems, dashboards, reports, briefs and talking points.
- Conduct regular reviews of Performance and Risk management practices and documents to confirm compliance with Defence policies, procedures and relevant ISO standards.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders and dependent projects to understand their expectations and concerns to address risks, issues and opportunities (RIO) to the business.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and written and verbal communication skills will be required to regularly liaise and coordinate with a broad range of stakeholders, including executives, contractors, APS and ADF members. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

**About our Team**
The AOR and MASPO is part of the Major Surface Ships Branch (MSS) within Maritime Sustainment Division (MSD). We are a diverse workforce, which includes Australian Defence Force personnel, Australian Public Servants and Defence Industry Partners.

The AOR and Maritime Auxiliary SPO sustain a range of maritime capability, from the replenishment oilers (AORs) to auxiliary commercial vessels. The AOR vessels carry fuel, dry cargo, water, food, ammunition, equipment and spare parts in operational support for the deployed naval or combat forces operating far from port on the high seas.

In addition to replenishment, the ships can be used to combat against environmental pollution at sea, provide logistics support for the armed forces, and to support humanitarian operations and relief operations following natural disasters.

The maritime auxiliary vessels include maritime aviation and navigation training vessels, underwater surveying and pacific support, border force protection cutter, marine and towing services, as well as submarine search and rescue capabilities.

You must be customer focused, have the flexibility and drive to be responsive to changing workplace objectives, priorities and requirements whilst supporting the team in collectively achieving commercial results.

You possess highly developed written communication skills to review and prepare contract documentation, and your excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills will be utilised to regularly liaise with a range of stakeholders.

You will be someone who genuinely fosters a curiosity for innovative possibilities and an enthusiasm to learn and drive change in order to gain efficiencies.
This is a desk-based position involving computer use and working with others towards shared goals in a collaborative and fun team environment.
