**WASTE SERVICES OFFICER**

**Permanent Full Time Opportunity**

**Salary from $64,882.48 to $75,263.76 p.a. plus superannuation**

Located in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW, 1.5 hours south-west of Sydney - Wingecarribee Shire Council is working to create and nurture a vibrant & diverse community in harmony with the region's urban, agricultural and natural environments.

**The Opportunity**

This role assists the Coordinator, providing business service and support to administer Council’s Domestic/Commercial Waste Collection, Disposal and Processing Contracts to ensure the current and futures service needs of the community. The Waste Business Services Officer undertakes data collection and reporting and contributes to continuous business improvement.

**Essential Criteria**

**1. **Certificate IV in Business Administration or related discipline, or extensive experience in administration.

**2. **Demonstrated high level experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

**3. **Demonstrated word processing skills supporting a team.

**4. **Sound understanding of dealing with internal and external customers including written and verbal communication on a daily basis.

**7. **Demonstrated experience in being able to implement and carry out instructions without further supervision.

**8. **Demonstrated ability to learn software quickly.

**Desirable Criteria**
- An understanding of local government and role within the community.
- An understanding of Council corporate systems and databases.
- Experience in creating and maintaining databases.
- Experience in website content management software.
