**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking an** Weighbridge Operator** to join our team at Council.

This position is responsible for the smooth operation of the weighbridge located within the Resource Recovery Centre (RRC).Responsibilities and daily duties include the use of computer software, daily cash handling and end of day balancing and providing advice to customers and phone enquiries, when required.

This position is also required to assist with outdoor operational tasks identified by the Team Leader or Coordinator

Located in the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW, 1.5 hours south-west of Sydney - Wingecarribee Shire Council is working to create and nurture a vibrant & diverse community in harmony with the region's urban, agricultural and natural environments.

**Selection Criteria**

**1. **Hold a minimum Certificate III in an associated field or equivalent demonstrated experience in weighbridge operations

**2. **Demonstrated data entry administrative in an accurate and timely manner

**3. **Well-developed and demonstrated computer skills and literacy

**4. **Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of customers and employees

**5. **Practical experience in dealing with challenging situations

**6. **Demonstrated sound cash handling, banking skills and retail experience

**7. **Practical experience in the use of two-way communication devices to deliver messages

**Desirable**
- Previous experience in a commercial and residential waste and/ or recycling business environment
- Statement of Attainment for cash handling
- Experience in the use of Mandalay weighbridge software
